Myrehed Single Unit Drawloom

The single-unit drawloom is made for free-form designs that do not have a pattern repeat. Pattern is created by pulling drawcords that raise individual units of warp threads; the number of blocks in a piece is equal to the number of drawcords. The drawn cords are held in place by wooden dowels located just above the beater. This newly designed single-unit drawloom is comfortable to use; the drawcords are at eye level rather than overhead, making them easier to select and pull. The footprint of a single-unit drawloom is shorter than that of the shaft or combination drawloom, which must be extended to accommodate the pattern shafts.
